Guest Youngguy
I know there is allot of talented crushers here. So, I thought I might ask if any of you #3 reppers can give me any tips on working up to multiple reps.
mobsterone
Hmm. Using only grippers for crushing work and as part of my training to have a pop at the Number 4 CoC gripper I have recently suceeded at doing reps. What have I learned? One: As per Joe K's tips I have done negatives with the 4 and have been, a la John Brookfield holding the spring with my free hand to get another mill or three. Two: This has given me more strength with the CoC 3 to the point where I will allow it to open from the closed position to about parallel, no more mind, then attempt to reshut the gripper. As you'd appreciate once the limits been reached I also try to get as far as possible. Three: that, for the time being, sets of three are about my lot. Hope that goes a little way to helping. Sybersnott
Youngguy, Forget the reps. Work on your CRUSH. Negatives is your answer. HEAVY negatives. Good Luck!
Guest Youngguy
Well right now I am working on conditioning for the season, so I can prepare for the #4. This will build my tendons up some more so I can allow some extra strength to flow through.
Guest Rhino1
when you say heavy negatives, do you mean on just the grippers or another exercise. Thank you DJ
Guest mg6680
Heavy negatives - I believe he means w/a plate loaded machine ie, SW, G-Rex, Gripinator, etc.
