Roark
So there we were at the World Championships of Sandbag Pinching. All the sandbags were marked 'SBTL' for sand bag top level. Anyone who could pinch grip an SBTL became a certified sand- bagger. But the buzz was that all the bags were not the same weight- that there was a considerable variance among the SBTLs being used in the competition. How could this be? The bags were of the same dimensions, but some bags apparently contained more resistance than other bags. The full one hand pinch deadlift felt different with different bags- as though the sweep varied throughout the upward movement. Could this be? Some competitors tried several SBTLs before finding one that was pinchable. One competitor pinched each of the bags that those other men failed with. But in the spirit of confusion and vagueness, the phantom SBTL stopped all but a couple of competitors. Only four of these phantom SBTLs had been manufactured, and never had all four been in one location at the same time. One competitor failed on all the sand bags except the last one remaining for him to try. Another man mastered every bag available. But an SBTL is an SBTL, so it was thought inappropriate to actual weigh the bags. Gentlemen athletes and all, plus an assurance from Sand Bags International that indeed all the bags were the same weight- the 'feel- of difference was due to hand size, or bag texture. apdwler
I heard a "rumor" that one of the sandbags was illegally altered. I seems "someone" put packing peanuts in place of some of the sand!! Unfortunately, the bag in question was lost!!
