Roark
For those who make the grip board one of their 'favorites'- and thus bypass cyberpump to access the board, there is an article posted written by Prof. Szalay about how some of the oldtime strength feats were faked- including some hand strength tricks, such as coin breaking and chain breaking. Part two will appear soon. Also we will be posting a wonderful series on iron history which will have smatterings of grip info. This in the coming weeks, and it is some of the better history ever presented, via The British Amatuer Weightlifter and Bodybuilder- a very rare and very wonderful magazine which was published from Jan 1947 thru Apr 1956, though some name alterations took place before its merge into Health & Strength. Sorry for the post if you don't care, but if you do, this will be a rare opportunity to read these fine old articles.
apdwler
Very interesting. I like reading the old strength magazines more than the new. They due lack the fitness babes, however:( I have also found some information in the book at the link below. I haven't had time to read it all, but the last 2 chapters deal with strength. http://bookrags.com/books/mmong/
RSW
Interesting read, although I would quibble with using thick handled dumbells as being an unfair trick

Roark
Wannagrip, Would there be any disadvantage in 'piping' it thru the main gate? Seems like it would solve some situations.
Jeff T
Wannagrip, Forgive me for having a slow internet connection. I am well aware of the cyberpump site, and where the recent updates are. I WAS however left a little confused as to which article specifically Roark was talking about, and since I've been having problems with my computer and internet it would be tough, annoying, and slow to sift through page after page to find the article. Joe, thankyou for the link, I am reading the article now.

That's not possible. Otherwise, I would do that.
