Thick Bar To Block Weights

Recommended Posts

Had my first experience with a 2" thick bar (PVC to be more exact). Wanted to get a feel for the thick bar in general.

Can someone elaborate on how lifts (just regular single hand deads) correlate to block weights? (I currently do heavy singles for time with a 65-half with 10lbs attached.) :D

thanx

By 'block weight' is that like, the equivilent lifting with a thin bar from lifting with a thick one? It might not be that simple... it works many things thin bars don't, but at the same time, beyond the hand itself probably not, and may not adapt for the extreme pressure (mostly calluses) from a tiny grip.
