Guest Bonzi
Where are they now? http://www.gripboard.com/index.php?showtop...dpost&p=584 http://www.gripboard.com/index.php?showtop...post&p=4877 http://www.gripboard.com/index.php?showtop...post&p=7931 Did the SOSP project fizzle or is the machine still in use? The reason that I ask is that there are so many threads about the inconsistency of the grippers. http://www.fractionalplates.com/cgi-bin/ed...;catalogno=9.
RiotGrip
The project fizzled in 2003 I believe. They made grippers (non calibrated) for several years after that, but probably sold the last in 2005 or 2006. If you look on their site, it says that the SOS press/calibration machine was sold to an individual, so someone still has it. Even with PDA's calibration, there were still inconsistencies, because they only measured the strength at the close and at parallel, so a gripper with a tough sweep may have felt a lot tougher than it's rated closing pressure. I doubt you'll get any more info than that from PDA, but you could try.
