Alawadhi
No there is no size limit. But generally people use 4" by 12" leather.
Autolupus
4" width seems to be about average and whatever length, to give you a wrap that suits, thicker material will mean shorter length for the same dia. and then there's always the double wrap! Oh, and stop SHOUTING! Edited November 1, 2007 by Autolupus
Tim71
You will end up experimenting a lot. I've went through many different preferences. Depends to on what I'm bending and the difficulty of the bend. I noticed a couple of the really good benders use wraps that are 5 inches wide on occasion and have some hanging out of their hand. I currently use 4.5 inches wide for some bends and 4 inches wide for some. Depends on the mood I'm in. I like a little wider for underhand bending. You can always trim them down but you can't really sew it back on. Later, Tim
John Beatty
The standard size I sell are 4' X 12". I sometimes add an extra inch or so if I feel like the leather is a bit thinner than normal.
