barbe705
I've been working on my reverse bending lately and I have a lot of trouble. My bends are all off center. Some of them are bent at the 1/3 point. this seems to happen as much with easy stock as with the hard stuff. Does anybody have some tips they can share? vikingsrule92
I had this same problem when I tried reverse bending yesterday. I was wondering the same thing and I would appreciate tips too.
bencrush
Are you guys wrapping one end right up to the center mark? If not, it's likely to bend off center. Also, I have to grab the pad so that that center mark rests almost even with the top of my palm...that's where it's going to be levered over. Watch a bunch of videos for tips from guys that are much stronger than me.
barbe705
I just realized I had asked this same question earlier in the month. I also made plans for the night my brother was getting married. So, assuming I can pay attention. it seems like the hand position being described would have the end of the bolt further into my palm than I would do if I was DO bending. is this correct? Because, if I'm reading correctly my left hand would have the bolt almost to the bottom of my palm while the right hand would have the bolt end up around the thumb webbing(like DO) brent
makey98
Mike Hadland (user Booyah) is the best reverse bender on this board and if you watch his videos you should get a good idea of proper form. If you notice on all of his video bends he marks the center of the nail/bolt/steel with a marker.

barbe705
one thing about marking the center of the bar. I've noticed that I close my eyes. I guess I need to fix that as well. brent
