Snatching the inch or the apollon wheels

I was just thinking today, only a handful of people have ever clean and jerked the Apollon rallycar wheels, 5 I think?  And Mark Henry is the only man on the planet to clean and press the Inch as far as I know.  How much more strength would it require to snatch either of these monsters?  If someone was to clean the Millenium DB, could they possibly snatch the Inch?  Is this even within the realm of human strength?  If it is ever done, this person will undeniably be the God of thickbar!  Has anyone here ever tried to snatch a plate loaded inch or a thickbar?

Of course someone will do it someday! Maybe not in a few years but I think someone will do it some day. Jaber Saaed Salem said in the latest Milo that he might be interested in strongman once he's done with olympic lifting. Maybe he'll snatch the wheels once he's worked on his grip. Not very many guys have snatched 166 much less with a thick handle. I think the reason that not very many guys lifted the original wheels is that not very many had the chance. With today's transportation it would be easier for someone to get to the replica. If Apollon pulled his little axle really high, there's no doubt that he would have snatched the Inch db also.

Mark Henry cleaned and push pressed the Inch

Replica, but his clean was with snatch-speed, so

if he had dipped at the right moment, and had the

balance, he probably could have snatched it, which

in my view is easier than push-pressing it because

of the momentum, but harder because of the balance.

When Apollon's mishap with Desbonnet's 225-226lb

bell happened, I agree with Nathan, Apollon would

have toyed with Inch's bell, a fact well known to Inch

who never seemed to have the bell handy when

Apollon was nearby. Desbonnet's bell was, for all

practical lifting purposes, a forerunner of the 225-226

lb Millennium bell now manufactured by Steve, and

since men are struggling to simply deadlift the MB,

can we even imagine the power in Apollon's grip and

pull?

For purists, Desbonnet's bell diameter was 2.36"

compared to the original Inch at 2.38, and the modern

replicas at 2.47. Of no consequence to Apollon.

But, Nathan, the term 'little axle' is not accurate,

and is misleading. It was a regular bell not a small set

of railcar wheels.

;)

The second, lighter set of railcar wheels that Apollon owned

was not the same implement that he had the one hand

snatch mishap with- if that's what you were thinking, Nathan?
