Rick Browne
Hello All, I will try not to make this sound like an infomercial. I want to share with you a product I found that I think is remarkable. It's name is "Dry Hands". It is a gripping enhancement product That does not allow moisture between your hand and the implement you are gripping. I have been using it this week in my grip training and the results are remarkable. I have tossed the chalk! I have no vested or fiancial gain in this product, but I think it is a good product that I want to let you guys know about. I live in the deep south where my average daily temp has been 90- 94 degrees, with 90 percent humidity. I do my grip workout in a wood toolshed with no AC. I trained for 1.5 hrs. and my hands stayed dry as a powderhouse. The owner sent me 12 free sample pacs and I will be glad to mail them to 12 guys ( at my expense) to try it out. I know you will be as amazed as I am. I have already sent some to Wannagrip for his opinion (and we all know how direct Wannagrip can be) If you want to try a freebie e-mail with your address at sentricon2002@netscape.net or go to www.dryhands.com I'm tellin` ya it is some GOOD stuff Thanks
Rick Walker
Titan Support Systems, the supplier I used to use for powerlifting gear, would always send a sample of the stuff to me when i would place an order. I tried it, and I don't really care for it. I don't know, maybe I am partial to chalk-the dust, the feel, the mess on my clothes, door handles, water bottles, etc. Dry Hands always seemed to come off real easy to-especially when I tried it on my farmers and kegs. And, the stuff doesn't work well in the rain either. ??? I guess nothing works well in the rain except my tacky! But, if it works for you, all the better! Rick Walker :hehe
Rick Browne
Thanks Rick for your opinion. I like the product because of it`s cleaness. Tired of vacuuming up chalk dust and scraping my grippers. Hope to get some guys to send these freebies to and get some more opinions. Yes, it does work well for me
Bill Piche
1stCOC sent me a sample awhile back. I can't remember if it was the same stuff.
Rick Browne
I mailed you a package on Thurs of this week. Will be curious to see if it is the same. A buddy who golfs alot told me about it. Looking forward to your opinion Wannagrip!
Nathan Say
Chalk has been good enough for the last 100yrs+, so I doubt that all of a sudden we'll have something which works better. ??? I guess it would be good if was really true.
Rick Browne
Nathan, All I can say is try it. How in the world can you form an opinion about something you have not tried. I have nothing to gain pushing this product. Just trying to share something I found to be beneficial to my grip work. I'm glad I took a chance and ordered the product and not let a closed mind interfere. Like I said, I have some freebies
JeffPeterson
zcor I'll send you an e-mail if the stuff is half as great as you say I'd be interested. Thanks
Nathan Say
I didn't say that it sucks, but only that I have reservations.
Guest omniexist
zcor, What part of the deep south are you in?

apdwler
Mr. Sorin uses some kind of stuff, not chalk, in his video. He puts it on right before he lifts that huge anvil. I can't remember what he called it, however... Would this stuff be considered legal. I have heard chalk is ok , but not tacky...
1stCoC
Yes, the Dry hands product was what I sent Wannagrip. It is clean, non sticky and like a good hand washing cuts down the oils on your hand. I am a chalk guy from before most of you were born but in many ways that stuff is far better (imo) than anything I have seen.
OldGuy
Chalk does dry the hands, but to some extent it is also a lubricant which is undesirable.
Rick Browne
I might add the transfer of the chalk from the hands to anything you touch is undesirable, but I have just lived with it until now. My red powder coated Gripanator was a mess! I have been gripping on it 5 days a week for the past 4 mos. so you can imagine the chalk accumalation on it. Nasty....... cleaned up now though. Just wanted everyone to know there is an alternative to chalk
Tou
Is there any website where I can get info on it ? I'd like to try this product because I train in a commercial gym that doesn't allow chalk.
OldGuy
Here is the website. they might have chosen a better name for it! http://www.dryhands.com/
Guest el4n
Do you know if any stores carry this product? Maybe somthing like sportsmart, gallyans or any others? Is ordering the only way to get a bottle?
terryduty
Dry Hands should be available at the stores list on this link: http://www.tendercorp.com/stores.html Anyone know how Dry Hands compares to Fast Hands (http://www.ipsc.org/mcart/) Train smart! Adam Black
Thanks for the info zcor. I train indoors and the chalk dust is a PITA. It just gets everywhere! I will give it a go.
Tom of Iowa2
What sort of percentage do you think chalk adds to a lift such as the Rolling Thunder? Iron Mind Pinch attachment? Vertical Bar lift? Grippers? We just never use chalk when training grip...just figured if we could overcome sweat/moist hands we'd have a better grip beccause we just have to squeeze harder to overcome the slippery hands..... as an old timer explained it:"when your grappling you can't ask your opponent to wipe off his wrists or to chalk up his body?" I do use chalk on power movements and cleans and push presses...sort of a habit there though. What sort of percentages in improvement might we see if we chalked up or used this 'dry hands'???
