moser1972
Münsterland Grip Challenge (MGC) 4 Because I received a lot of PMs and eMails in the last weeks with questions about the upcoming MGC in 2008, I want to give out early enough the events so that you can prepare yourself properly. Here is the first information: Venue: Ennigerloh, 59320 (Germany) Date: TBD - (I plan it for May/June 2008) Events: • Grippers both hands- 4 attempts • 2 hand pinch (Euro setup) - 4 attempts • LGC V-bar L/R - 4 attempts • Apollon’s Axle - 2 or 3 attempts • Loading (most of them are wrist tests!!!) - 2 attempts I don’t want to make it too long for all of us. Last time it was so long that we've had no time for some food in a restaurant and / or a nice drink all together. All was closed We will use the calibrated plates we already used for the last MGC. I hope that Martin and Arne are again so kind that I can use the calibrated Euro grippers for the MGC 4. A detailed list with calibrated devices and plates will be uploaded prior to the contest in 2008. Pls keep in mind that the latest sign in is March, 14 - 2008! I need that time to arrange a huge event. Sign in here, send me a PM or drop me a mail. Thanks Take care, Thorsten
wscorpion
Sounds great! First I'll start training something else then bending, then if I'm stronger then I am now in the different events (which I definitely expect ), I'm probably going to enter, hopefully Theo B. is coming as well, but he's not certain yet.... wscorpion
The apollon's axe, what is it exactly? And I don't really understand how a loading event could be a wrist event, could you explain? Tx
DuTCH
For example the stacker from IM..
wscorpion
For example the stacker from IM.. OK, so plate curls should be good as a training for it I guess?

If there won't then that thick bar stuff will really be a pain for me to set a decent score. And having 2 out of 5 thickbar event's will be a bit too much IMO I understood the fact that the appollo is a thickbar, but what to do with it on the contest? - Full deadlift - one hand deadlift - push press - deadlift lockout and how about a bending event? Thanks! Edited November 12, 2007 by White Scorpion
moser1972
Hoi Mark Lot of questions Let me try to clarify stg: 2 Hand size groups I have no problem with 2 groups for scoring; but that will depend on how many people sign in! In general - yes, we can do it. Axle: Full deadlift in the axle lift. 2 Fat Bar events C'mooon; 2" Vbar (isnt 100% sure at this time) isnt a fat bar event Bending Bending will be addressed in the Wrist event. (Reverse Bending) Cheers //T//

As it looks now I'm coming anyway, but it would be nice as well to have a chance to get a decent position Edited November 12, 2007 by White Scorpion

Niels
I´m not sure if I compete but I would prefer the regular v-bar...
marcob
I´m not sure if I compete but I would prefer the regular v-bar... I like to see what the 2'' V Bar gives, because there are no records to break, so everyone has a chance for a WR or an ER. What are the things to do whit the loading event
Florian Kellersmann
No vbar would be better IMO.
