Justin Reagan
Bent one of my 70d's (kink harder than the 5/16" drill rod...by far!), bent a 6 3/8" x 5/16" drill rod, and bent a F911 bolt to 90 deg....both DO (still doing DU a little, but I like the fact I can bend bigger steel!) The F911 was, I believe, the first time I've been stopped at 90 degrees...usually, if I can get it to 90 deg, I can get it all the way! Justin Reagan
A 5" G5 is the best so far... The main reason I'm taking a little time off the DU bending is because, for some reason, I started attempting the G8 almost every time I would bend--which made me hurt! (I figured I should be able to bend a G8 after I could hit 12-15 G5's in a row most days...but I found out different) I hit maybe 25 or 30 deg before I decided on some "time off" from DU. Still, I think the 5" G5 was pretty decent for me... Justin
Tim71
Great job Justin! Those F911s are crazy aren't they? Seems so strange that such a small piece of steel can be so strong. First one I ever did I really thought it would break it tightens up so much but it didn't. Immagine what the 5/16 would be like! Keep it up. Justin Reagan
It's hard enough to imagine 5/16" G5's and G8's...
