hi all!

i think could be interesting to watch the best videos of each one of you ... i'll post one of mine doing 7 reps with coc2 ... at the end i act like a crazy guy because i was happy with my performance!

i hope to heard more of you ... by the way .. i'm trying to close #2.5 .. if for any reason i would do it ... i would rather prefer post it instead of doing 7 reps with coc2 ...

I have like 42 gripping/bending videos on youtube but here is a selection of my favourite ones i guess:

BBGM from wide set: 17/09/06

#3 first time closed: 30/10/06

Vbar 306.7lbs: 27/12/06

5x1/4" G5 bolt DU : 20/04/07

190kg one hand lift: 21/05/07

MM2 replica: 12/05/07

COC#3 slow close: 10/09/07

That shows steady improvement over the course of one year i guess, going from just closing the BBGM for the first time, to dominating the no.3. Soon i'll hopefully be able to add a close of the RB330N, at the moment im less than 1mm away from shutting it.

ive only just read the title of the topic properly and realised that ewokhugo only wanted videos of grippers closed, so sorry about that. I have a couple of older vids shutting the #2 and the Rb240n for the first time but not that interesting.

I think they are interesting in a way. They are a piece of your training history and how far you've come.

Heres my out-of-the-package close of a #2.5 when I got it for Xmas last year. John Eaton requested it out of the package, so I had to :D

you don't have to oil your grippers, but if you want them to stay true to the grade they were meant to be then you should oil every few months or so. The squeaking is a result of friction in the spring which indeed makes it a fair bit harder.

I disagree, oiling your grippers is just good maintanance. Without doing so they will start to rust at some point.

In my opion i am all for oiling grippers, however my point was that if you want your grippers to deppreciate and become harder that is your preference. Not oiling the gripper will indeed make the gripper harder in time, but will ultimately have a negative outcome to the functionalitly of the gripper.
