For standardization purposes, use:

  • actual waist size at largest circumference and not pant size
  • forearm measured with arm straight and wrist not cranked(fist clenched is OK)UPDATE, let's use a relaxed forearm
  • hand size measured from first crease of wrist to then end of middle finger
  • We also have to make sure it's standarized. I.E. palm is considered first crease of wrist to first crease in middle
    finger and finger length is considered first crease in middle finger to the end of the middle finger. thanks to

  • P = Palm Measurement
  • F = Middle Finger Measurement
  • H = Hand Measurement

  • The last column is the ranking of the strongest gripper closed(If there were multiple grippers as per the COC #1 and COC #3, I used the later version.)

Food 4 thought, folks. I have calculated the Waist/Forearm ratios(top 14) and they seem to correlate much better

with grip achievement than Wrist/Forearm. Since I am just an interested observer now, it's up to y'all.

Maybe it means when the waist decreases and with it the relevant fat on the forearm it is a better barometer. No

offense to the bigger guys. Just a thought.

Imo, the only way this data would really mean something is if the measurments were all taken by the same person and the gripper closes were done under a controlled environment. I have a SE that I just sent to Climber that I doubt anyone here could close (with one hand anyhow) and I know the elite that I closed could have been substantially easier than the one Wes or Kurt mashed as it was a couple of years ago.

  • forearm measured with arm straight and wrist not cranked(fist clenched is OK)UPDATE, let's use a relaxed forearm
  • hand size measured from first crease of wrist to then end of middle finger
  • We also have to make sure it's standarized. I.E. palm is considered first crease of wrist to first crease in middle
    finger and finger length is considered first crease in middle finger to the end of the middle finger. thanks to

  • F = Middle Finger Measurement
  • H = Hand Measurement

hand dont know where to measure this................. if it's palm + finger, then it's 8.075

palm 4.7

finger: 3.375

best gripper: CoC#1 (no set), CoC#2 (parallel set, just did this last night)

The gripper stronger than I closed, based on the list, is the BB MM1. But perhaps some gripper closed stronger. I also closed the RB240, 1 slack COC3 and 2 half-strong COC3 , and a RB300N , and BBGM strong.

My wrist measured on 8. 19 "(below the bone) and 8.38" (above the bone).

My Forearm measured 15.25 " (straight, with the wrist straight and squeezing forearm).

The palm measured 7.875 ".

Hand measuring 4.75 "(counting the thumb) and 4.25" (not counting the thumb). I do not know how to measure it

The middle finger measured 3.35".

The waist measures 39 " approximately.

Weight around 253 pounds.

Great topic, I love stats. If you can, edit your first post too when you add new updates, will make it easier to find the latest info.

here goes my stats:

Gripper closed: CoC #2 (about a paralell set, maybe just slightly bigger ROM, just go with || set)

Wrist: 7"5/8

Hand, first line on wrist till fingertip of midle finger: 8"

Midle finger, first line on finger till fingertip: 3"1/2

Palm: 4"1/2

Forearm girth, arm and wrist straight, all relaxed: 14"1/2

Forearm girth, wrist flexed and arm slightly angled: 15"1/8

Forearm length, inside crease of elbow joint to first line of wrist: 11"1/2

Forearm length, tip of elbow bone to first line on wrist: 13"

Waist: 46"

Used metalic tape rule for everything except wrist mesurement, wrist mesurement taken with MyoTape.

Height: 192cm

Weight: 140kg

For standardization purposes, use:

  • actual waist size at largest circumference and not pant size
  • forearm measured with arm straight and wrist not cranked(fist clenched is OK)UPDATE, let's use a relaxed forearm
  • hand size measured from first crease of wrist to then end of middle finger
  • We also have to make sure it's standarized. I.E. palm is considered first crease of wrist to first crease in middle
    finger and finger length is considered first crease in middle finger to the end of the middle finger. thanks to

  • P = Palm Measurement
  • F = Middle Finger Measurement
  • H = Hand Measurement

  • The last column is the ranking of the strongest gripper closed(If there were multiple grippers as per the COC #1 and COC #3, I used the later version.)

Hey my hand, palm, and finger size are the exact same as Coc#3, our relative forearm to wrist mesurments are not far off either. I just need a much beefier wrist and forearm.

This looks promissing hehehehe! :D

Imuploaded the movie of my N.2 close with both hands to youtube. This was the second close of the workout, first close I wasn't filming. The left hand I had to reset, because the gripper moved.
