When is a gripper seasoned?

Just curious about how long it takes for a gripper to become "seasoned", and once a gripper gets there, does it stay at a constant strength or constantly get easier? I'm finding it hard to tell if I'm getting stronger, or if the grippers are just getting weaker.

John Szimanski from PDA told me that about 75 closures will season a gripper. PDA; when they were doing gripper calibrations, would close grippers 100 times to give seasoning.

ruffhans,

My #4 IS seasoned.  But I didn't do it.  John Szimanski of PDA did it for me in his seasoning press.  I got it back thinking it would be easier now that it's seasoned.  Nope.  It's still like a rock.

im wondering about getting my CoCs  checked out. for the poundage that is. ive been reading that people can send them in and get em tested. how much does it cost?, how long does it take?, and has everyone here done it? i guess it realy dont matter, but i would like to know if im strong, or weak! :p  all my CoCs are double stamped, if that means anything. i tried the old (pressing them agianst the scale) awhile back. the only one i could do was the trainer. that is a haaaaard task! i kept rolling it over my knuckles! one time it rang in at 68 lbs, and another time it rang in at 112 lbs.  any advise, grip buds?
