wscorpion
It took a little longer, but I decided to take on my BW for the one finger lift today and got it After this I added another 10kg for a total of 100kg but it hurted too much to lift it. Perhaps soon I will add just 5kg and see if I can lift 95kg Here's the vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9QjNovn3gTc

lifesnotfair
Nice! But 90kg is 198lbs.
wscorpion
Thanks Brendan! Nice! But 90kg is 198lbs. That's the strange part. some converters convert using 2.25lbs per kg, others 2.2lbs per kg. So you could be right. However, whenever I look at a plate which has both weights on it, it's 20kg - 45lbs. So that's 2.25lbs per kg. We use the word pound here as well, and here it's 2.0 pound per kg. So in that case it would be 180 pounds. But who cares actually, it's 90kg
dimmers
Nice going! just be careful with the finger lifts 1 kilogram = 2.20462262 pounds
wscorpion
Nice going! just be careful with the finger lifts 1 kilogram = 2.20462262 pounds Thanks, I will So in that case, a 20kg plate, should say 44lbs instead of 45lbs. This is really confusing
egg_uk
congrats, nice lift btw, my 20kg plates say 44lbs
Chrisx9118
Most 20kg plates are actually 20.4kg but they dont stamp the .4 on them. Nice lift, make sure to train your other fingers as well though =)
wscorpion
Thanks guys! From now on I will use 2.2 lbs per kg in conversions
lifesnotfair
2.2 is the closest number to use, if you're going to use one decimal point. 2.205 would be very accurate without using a bunch of decimals. 20kg is definitely not 45lb but 44. Some probably convert it like that because american plates are 45lb and euro plates are 20kg... that doesn't mean they weight the same, it means euros have it easier in that feat

Maybe I'll give it a try sometimes
