Adam Black Posted August 2, 2002 Posted August 2, 2002 I have read several threads where folks mention how their grip training causes them severe hand pain. I experience very little if any pain from my grip training. So was curious as to how many of us find grip training painfull or not. For those that do experience a great deal of pain, what is it that you are doing, do you think, that is causing the pain? Such as heavy negatives with a machine or #4. (For the naysayers that may presume that because I feel no pain means I must not train hard or not posses significant hand power I assure you I make progress with regularity and am less than ¼ of an inch from the #3.) Guest T-Bear Posted August 2, 2002 Posted August 2, 2002 Adam. I get a real pain on the tumbside of my righthand after that I begin training with CoC grippers. I train with the supergripper for months and have no problem with the hand. But I'm not absolutly sure it's the CoC grippers cause I feel pain when I do wristroller training to, but only when I do them with the rope in front of the roller, not when the rope is between me and the roller. Mjoynt Posted August 3, 2002 Posted August 3, 2002 I get pain near the end of my gripper work outs and afterwords. Sometimes, I'll get pain doing other grip stuff, but that pain is a carry-over from my gripper workouts. It amazes me that people do the grippers every day. I do them once a week and I still get pain. I guess everyone's different. Quote
