Hi,

Recently bought a CoC trainer, was wondering how many reps roughly should I be abel to do before getting a #1? Out of the packet I can do about 5 on the left hand and 8 0n the right. Also I've had a look round but not sure if I should train with straight reps negatives strap holds or? Thre seems to be a bit of an information overload on where I should start!

Cheers.

it sounds to me as though you'd be fine getting a CoC number 1 now. You might even want to consider the 1.5 or 2 as well.

I think when you can do about 20 reps with trainer, you can close the #1. That is average measure. Still many of reps don't automatically mean that you are able to close next gripper. Maybe when you get only 10 reps you can close the #1. Who knows.

I find that for me I have a 5:1 ratio on the IM grippers. I do about 160+ on the S, 30-40+ on the T, 6-10 on the 1, and 1-3 on the 1.5

Hope this helps, though everyones body is diferent. My pinch is huge compared (im propotion) to my crush. I can pinch 3 10s no problem (will be attempting 4 or 5 tonight) and its a all out max to close the 1.5 most of the time.
