Nathan Say
From an email about big Willie that I still keep in my mailbox: "This is the first of many [T.Topham], as my filing system is filled with many others, and Willie Carr is such a one." What others? Are there other guys like Carr & Topham that nobody seems to know about? As you said in that same email, Carr's feats are not as well-known as Topham's, but no less believable, are there feats of others (besides Carr-enough about him) which are not as well-known? David Horne
From the 17 and 18th century I presume. Yes there are other lstrongmen and women. I have a very large filing cabinet, and one whole drawer is devoted to this area, and it is full. There will be quite a few booklets to follow. Most of the research has been done, it's just a matter of typing them up and presenting them. Of course if I had nothing else to do this would be a piece of piss. Anyway, I enjoy my life, and hopefully will get all these stories in printed form before I die! David
