First G5

Got my first g5 shiny "JH" today. Saw it and said what the hell.

Took me 10 minutes. Hopefully I can get one done within 5 minutes in the next 2 weeks.

Should I keep gunning with them and work my way to smaller g5's?

Excellent! I remember my first G5 especially since it wasn't really that long ago. They are tough, springy and a good fight.

I've bent a 5.5 inch G5 and to me from there you can go to a grade 8. There are some JH shiny G5 bolts that tested very high in numbers something like 435 lbs I think so you may be closer to the G8 than you think.

Great job and keep at it!

Nice bend on that hard bolt!!! You are probably where you need to be on bending stock if you are not overtraining. It doesnt hurt to mix it up a little, going down levels and also trying higher level bends, especially after a nice rest :mosher

p.s. Don't neglect the 7" stuff :D

Thanks alot guys!

That bolt was by far the springiest thing I've ever tried. My goal is to bend a red before I go to college. So I got about 5 months. Thanks again!
