Matt Brouse
Are there BLOBS over bigger than the ones from the hundo yorks? I don't recall ever hearing of them, but, would be interested if they did exsist.

mikebuck
If the blob 50 molds still exist they could be cast in lead or brass or copper or something hevier than iron. I know it would be very expensive, but cool. Mike
Autolupus
Heavier blobs would mean even bigger dimensions. I suppose you could drill and fill a 50lb with lead to suit your requirements? Matt Brouse
I think I could handle (dimensions wise) up to about 105 or 110, maybe.
jad
That would awesome if there were old blobs past the 100's/50s. I emailed back and forth for months with the lady from York regarding bigger Legacy bells and she kept putting me off. I'm kinda of glad now though because from what I've heard the Legacy blobs just aren't the same.
Wes
There's gotta be someone with a york 105 or 110 that they wouldn't mind chopping up.
Autolupus
A lead blob with the same dims as a 50lb would weigh around 70lb and a platinum would come in at around 135lb costing about £1,280,000, taking bling to a whole new level!
1stCoC
no York solid dumbbells( from which blobs are made) were made over 100lb...so a 50lb end (or an odd overweight end) is all you will find.RS

Cannon
seems like there's gotta be bigger ones out there, but I'm not sure.the new legacy bells i have not heard good things about. What have been the complaints you have been hearing? I really like my 30lb Legacy Blob. This is probably a case where I just don't know any better Jedd, would you prefer a standard hex blob to the legacy blobs?
Jedd Johnson
I have not tried or seen a legacy blob. What I heard is that they are rather rough and the "straighter" side is too straight. Once I heard this, I no longer pursued a purchase of one, although, I would still buy one if I had the extra cash laying around. i would only get something in the 125-130 range or so. I already have lots of good hex block weights. I have 2-115s from different dumbbells. One is easy to lift, one is much wider and I have never lifted it. I also have 2-120's from different dumbbells, and it is the same story. My favorite grip training is with blockweights, both because I am good at it and because I feel it is one of the best ways to train and still get carryover to other lifts. -Jedd-

Scott Styles
66 Euro is pretty reasonable for that 66lb blob. Anyone know what it'd cost to have one shipped to the US? That's probably the killer. Still, It'd make a pretty good challenge piece for a contest. Has anyone lifted it?
honk
Shipping a 50 pounder form the states to Germany is about 70 dollars, 16 pounds more shouldn't make a big difference imho.
