Donovan Nemetchek
Anybody know? My hand measures 7 and one-eighth inches, and I just closed my #2 on boxing day, and hope to close a #3 by next christmas. I am ordering a 2.5 to get something inbetween. I find the spread the hardest. Does anyone think some of the RB narrows would help, or is working the spread on the IM's without the narrows the best plan? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Donovan

lifesnotfair
My hands are like 7-1/4" I think ... I have a BBSM with a 2.5" spread, and find it much easier to set than my COC #2, although it's a considerably harder gripper!! Spread matters a lot, I say keep training with your wide-spread grippers so you get used to that, because if you get used to the narrower spreads you'll then find it akward to set wide ones! Chrisx9118
Definately keep using your wide spread grippers like the CoC's, they will help you practice the technique needed to set it. You can use narrow grippers to help on the close and such but dont use them only because once you go back to the wide set grippers, you will be sorry. ObsceneJester
Not to be a nay sayer about the small hands.. but has anyone with a 7 inch hand closed the #3 with the IM rules? I think anyone is capable to close the #3 with a MMS.. but Credit Card is a different thing I haven't heard of any yet but again I could be wrong
Wayne
i have 7'' hands and i can close #3 with a bit wider than mms. it is only a matter of time before i can close it with no set, this i am sure of. i might be able to do it now if i hadn't slacked off on grippers for a while. i have closed a #3 no set while holding the spring and my best ccs attempt was about 1/4''. Again it's not that I don't believe you but I as well have 7inch hands as well and I would love to see this because it does help in trying to close the #3 when you know someone else has smaller hands too
