Hex's Vs. Blobs

I got my 40lb hex from Ben a week ago and it has been whooping me pretty good, Ive only been able to drag it around on the floor a little. I havent got to try it w/ chalk yet I need to get some more. Ive had a 10lb standard plate duct taped to my 30lb hex for awhile now buts its no where near the same thing. Im really thinking/hopeing I can get the 40lber when I get some more chalk. Training w/ the 30lber chalkless has really helped, its a totally different ball game w/o it.

What are the slopes of the 45 and 47.5 hex's?

How do the 40lb and up hex's compare to the 40lb and up blobs in level of dificluty? Do they interlace or is one always harder?

Theres not alot of names on that blockweight list...

Chalk is really going to help you in my opinion, it really makes a world of difference on my pinch.

I have a 40lb Hex and it is maybe alittttttle harder then my 35lb York. I have lifted my 40lb Hex to full deadlift pretty much as a max effort but have never lifted my 40lb York even off the ground.

a week is no time at all joe make sure your hands aren't dry and then pinch use two hands and let off with one blobs are harder with that little slope than a flat hex and chalk is a big help also do thumb work with a clamp well be waiting for a video update :rock

Made it to academy before the storm hit, to my suprise they actually had chalk. Its been awhile since Ive trained w/ it, man its like night and day, I kind of like it and I kind of dont. I got the 40 about a foot and a half high then dropped it and put a nice hole through my carpet into the pad, left hand couldnt budge it. Hands are 8" measured w/ the tape blockweight style, 7 3/4" w/ the ruler. Video will come when I can lock it out. Gota get a heavier blockweight... it never ends...

Thanks again Ben :rock

Great lift man! I knew you'd get it very soon with some chalk.
