Griparn

Recommended Posts

I don't use any chalk on my hands when Im training with my grippers and doing other griptraining. But I what I've seen on this board there is many that uses chalk when training.

Why do some of you use chalk?

Maybe there is some good reason that I have missed  :)

I use chalk on everything except the Rolling Thunder and other very slick objects.  Chalk is a life saver on grippers and anything with some texture.

Well, it keeps them from slipping.  It gives me about 1/4" difference in close on tough grippers do to the fact that it stays put.  Same with knurling on a bar, it just helps.  Lifesaver may have been a bit much, but it sure helps.  That's all I was saying........

No way, chalk IS a lifesaver! I put tons on everything! (except slippery stuff like my RT handle & slick milled plates) It's good for at least a few lbs on a plate curl, plate pinch & gripper squeeze.  :)

Ok, thanks for the answers. I guess I have to buy some chalk soon. 1/4 of an inch ís quite much =)

Try the chalk on slick objects.  IMHO, it does help.  I've even tried Tom Black's #3 (it was chalked; mine aren't).  I liked it!!  :)
