Swiss Grip Comp Vi

Thinking about organizing these. Not sure about the events yet, but anyway I don't think the events are the main reason people are coming to this context ;)

Am trying to get an idea of how many competitors would be interested in coming, so please put your name forward if you are.

ps: There IS snow here, in March :)

Some more details as I understood them:

Loading Medley

Many many different objects (up to 30 maybe) of different difficulty:

Blobs, Block, Inch(s), Hubs, Plates, Stones (Pinch) and so on.

Two rounds, one for each hand.

Double lever

Two loadable sledges mounted together.

Axle Clean

should be clear

Axle DL for reps

Two categories are used. So if you can't DL 120kg you can go with 80kg.

Farmers Walk

Towel style, one towel per hand loaded with ~50kg.

Thanks guys! Steve if it's me you're talking about, I'm closer to 80-82kg at the moment!

Towel farmers are not 100% sure. I am thinking if there is snow outside, then maybe do a heavy "inside" farmers walk instead. we'll see.

One more event to go.

Yes Theo you would do VERY well at such a comp!

Am I right by thinking that Les Rasses can be accessed via Paris followed by a train ride? I seem to remember David mentioning this last year. I've just checked the flights to Geneva and they are a little expensive.

yes. There is a direct train Paris-pontarlier, and I can take you at Pontarlier. Train is not extremely cheap, though. The cheap solution would probably be to fly to geneva avoiding friday evening/sat morning and sunday evening.

looks like the last event will be max number of singles (for coherence with the other events) with a a gripper in 1 minute and 30secs. one round per hand. There will be grippers to choose from ranking from T to #3 (probably not harder because I do not really want to transform this event into a regular max gripper event)

Agreed. David and his wife are one of the nicest couples i've met :bow

And this comp is FUN.

Jim it would be great if you could make it this year, David would have to give his best for once lol
