verdigriz
Hey guys just a quick question... anyone try bending this wire? I got some at about 7mm, and i cant even kink it with reverse style bending, damn hard for my current strengh, but i can finish it off kinked to 30deg DO. Best thing is, its cheap as chips! Crotchulla
I've never even realized they made that. Where did you get it from?
verdigriz
I got it from a worksite. It comes in large sheets that look like grids (series of overlaping rods maiing square grids in repeat series)..you lay it down before the cement is poured to help strengthen it...i just cut a few lengths and went for it..most home supply stores would have it i would have thought, its very common
Crotchulla
Oh yeah, I've seen that stuff. I never thought about it because it looked so easy to bend in big sheets and I didn't realize it was concrete reinforced. Maybe I'll go hunt some down. Good idea. verdigriz
Im not saying its hard to bend for all, but the 7mm stuff is a challange for me, you may bend it like snapping a twig:)
