Number Ten Ox Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 While at work today I pulled agoinst a few guys and after the first few noticed my elbows were killing me. Any good ideas to warm up quick so I don't injure myself? Any good ideas to warm up quick so I don't injure myself? Give some triceps work (french press f. e.) a try. Everybody is different, but sometimes this helps. Number Ten Ox Posted November 28, 2006 Author Posted November 28, 2006 Anyone else warm up before they AW? I'm not looking for any big secrets here, just an idea of what to do before a match to get my body prepared to pull. vitz Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 two things are a must do to avoid any kind of pain, specially at armwrestling: -make sure there is muscle balance, tha agonist and antagonist muscles have similar strengh -keep joint mobility normal, usually after strong training or when there is pain, lack of joint mobility is the main reason Quote

This will get the blood flowing. Then do some easy side pressure against a door jam to warm up your elbow. Quote "Be realistic....Demand the impossible"
StalwartSentinel Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 We used to warm up at AW practice, by AW another member, at say 25% power. We would go back and forth.... hook, toproll... left, right... his turn, my turn. Just enough resistance to get the blood flowing. Quote
