The pic of the head is a little blurry, but it seems to have the proper marks. I also think it's at least 1/4" thick. Did you just guesstimate the 1/8"? Since it's 8" long, it looks like it could be 5/16" thick. Either way, this would be a tough bend. And, if it's 5/16" thick, you'd be the first to bend that bolt if you got it done
guru20
lol, i dont think ill be melting a grade 5 for awhile. Im still using yellows for practice. The 1/8" is made up of the head of the bolt. When i measured the shaft it was 8" exactly...plus the head would make it 8 1/8" or thereabouts. guru20
I think so...all i have is a crappy tape measure i use for body measurements. It looks to be either 5/16" or 3/8" i cant really tell. I think its probably a 5/16 though.

acorn
That would be a tough bolt. if it is a 5/16x8 g5. I've done the 7" and 6.5" from 45deg but not from straight yet. The kink is definately tough. - Aaron
