Roark
Hopefully one of the board members who will be attending the Oldtimers' dinner tomorrow night will take along a tape measure, for hand length etc of some of the sports veterans. Slim may be there? Or others? Paper and pencil should also replace memory. I know the awkward feeling and the 'what's the matter with you?' look one gets when asking for such documentation, but it is helpful to get facts. Master this level and you will be in the promotional line when stats are required of fitness babes' hand size...
Tom Black
Joe, I'll bring a tape measure but I think it will be awkward to ask to take measurements. Ummm, I'm not really interested in taking fitness babes' hand size, but I can work my way up to the more interesting measurements. I know we talked about how to take measurements, but I wasn't really paying attention. I always measure length from the base of my wrist (The first line there) to the tip of my longest finger (in my case the middle, but others have longer index fingers). I measure palm width from base of thumb to farthest point on the other side. Did you get my instant message?
paul valpreda
If I was going to the dinner, I would measure the fitness babes hands with no hesitation whatsoever! Someone else can measure the dudes. I bet it will be an event to remember.
Sybersnott
I'll see if I can dig up a tape measure. Can't guarantee results though.
Roark
Tom, Your way of measuring is fine; remember the wrist circumference also. If anything special happens at the dinner... use the measurement as a way of putting the matter on the record, of documentation. When I have asked some of the bodybuilders to allow me to tape their upper arms and wrists, it can be awkward, but I mention that to check the wild claims that OTHER people have asserted for these bodybuilders, let's just verify the tale of the tape. If they refuse, I quote their refusal just as they utter it. No, I did not receive your pm. ??
supersqueeze
Were any mesurements obtained? The Hammerman, Dennis Rogers, Mark Henry ...?!
Tom Black
Sorry, no measurements. We were kinda busy doing everything else. I wouldn't have done the wrist measurements anyway, and I didn't see Joe's response beforehand.
