CoC#3
I bought one and closed it yesterday. I was wondering how hard you all think it is. I have tried 3 different #3s and this gripper is harder than all of them. I would say it is about a 3.10-3.15 in strength.
Hubgeezer
I have fairly detailed records on multiple days of how close I come to closing different grippers. My right hand is a 2.9er on a good day, 2.7 on a bad one. That makes it a pretty good judge for rating grippers between 2.7 and 3.3. My RB260 is exactly halfway between my MM2 Replica and My Elite. I would say the RB260 I have is 3.2, the Elite I have is 3.25, and the MM2 Replica I have is 3.15. Yeah yeah, grippers vary, blah blah blah... Grippers certainly do vary, the elite i have i would put at around 3.4-3.5, maybe even close to 3.6 straight out the package.

bencrush
The one I had for a while was probably a 3.2317 but I'd have to ask Josh again to find out for sure. He could rate it better than I can.

I think that was about right Ben. Remember we rated the sweep and the close and then multiplied it by a coefficient, which was derived from the spread, mounting, coil tightness, and handle bevel. I'd have to check my spreadsheet again but that number sounds right. I remember it took us a long time to plug in all of the formulas, so the number kind of stuck out in my mind. greenBuddah
He's talking about a 260 not an Elite. On topic: my #3 is harder than my 260, the spread on my #3 is almost 0.3" wider.
