Jedd Johnson Posted October 28, 2006 Author Share Posted October 28, 2006 Thanks for the compliments. Can't say enough to the newer guys that Block weight work should be a staple in the routine. The main things I did for training for the contest was grippers and loading block weights on a 40 inch platform. The carryover from wide pinch to other grip lifts is great, with the exception of the friction lifts, like the v-bar. FrankyBoy Posted October 28, 2006 Share Posted October 28, 2006 Together with Dave Mortons 20s bend of a Magnificient Bastard Bar Jedds Blob Medley was the most impressive in contest performance I witnessed there. Around 15s for all blobs is awesome but doing that after the thumb killer event is freaking impressive. My thumb felt like a hot potato after the Scale Weights.
