Euro Pinch

Here's the deal, everytime I train Euro pinch it hurts my hands real bad. Like the tendons in the back of my hand throb when I set the weight down. Now I think I need to just drop a lot of weight and go for longer holds so it isn't straining my hand too much. I usually go for a 5 second hold, so I'm thinking shoot for 10-15. Does anyone have a better idea on how to train Euro without the pain? Different device, any other exercise give good cross over to Euro, etc?

Have you messed with the following?:

---Width of the set-up

---Separation of the hands

---Angle of flexion of the elbow?

I had the pain you speak of at one time, and found it went away by bending my elbows during my attempts.
