Cannon
I noticed last night that while all my plates are made by the same company (Standard), the HUB on my 25lb plate is 5" and the HUB on my 35 plate is 5.75". The sides of the HUB on the 35lb plate also taper out. The HUB on my 45lb plate is the same as the 25lb, but it is extremely shallow. What gives? The HUB that Beef Builder sells is 5" in diameter. IM says their HUB is based on the York plates, but doesn't give a diameter, although my guess is that it's also 5"...? I think it's time to buy some 5" OD steel pipe and make my own plate-loading HUB. Is 5" OD the standard? Anyone know?

Cannon
I found this post.....http://www.gripboard.com/index.php?showtop...226&hl=hubs Thanks for the link. Yikes, the IM HUB is only 3" OD....I was using HUB pinching as my narrow-pinch exercise and for some reason it never occurred to me that even 5" is way too wide to be narrow...
