Grip concentration

I was just wondering how many of you train the rest of your body with the grip in mind?  In other words, how many of you use a thick bar for rows, deadlifts, benches, and curls instead of a regular bar.  I have debated doing this for awhile.

My passion is grip training (even more than full body training).  In my opinion, even in grip exercises one works the entire body hard (especially the back).

So, basically, I was wondering if I would be a fool to concentrate more on my grip than the rest of the body.  But I am wondering what everyone else does.

I don't use anything but my Apollon's Axle now, and it's been about a month.  I do front squats with it instead of back squats.  I think plenty of weight can still be used on the Axle to stimulate gains in strength all over.
