Slider454 Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 I finally got some decent bends in the other day..this being around 3 weeks since I tore the skin off my pointer finger (see my gallery)....I am kinda glad though that I had this injury because It made me realize where my technique was off....when I was bending I was letting the nail pivot to far up my index finger it was inbetween the middle and the big knuckle...so when I started bending it would push all that meat down toward my middle knuckle and started making a big callus....well I suddenly realized that I need to squeeze the nail and the pads as hard as I could grip the things so that there is no weak points...before I wasnt doing this...and instead of letting the nail pivot to high on my fingers I make sure that the nails is coming pretty much right across the middle knuckle and this doesnt let the nail try to roll around like I was experiecing before...I punched out some grade 8 bolts and some 5 inch grade 5's pretty easy...now maybe I can get back up to speed pretty fast.
