No, not the #3, not yet !

Today in the gym, I pinched 2 45's with my right hand. Lifted them a good 6 inches off the ground. I was very surprised.

One step toward the world class. The #3 will follow one of these days. The toughest will be the 45 plate curl. I can do a 35 but the 45 laughs at me like the #4 gripper.

Nice work Tou - I always thought pinching 2x20kg plates was a bigger feat than closing the no.3, so well done. You'll get the plate curl too - just believe it can be done and one day it'll just pop up like a regular dumbell curl!

Wow, nice job Tou!

I really like plate pinching, and was wondering, what sort of training techniques did you use to work up to such an amazing feat? Right now I struggle with 2 25s, man, 2 45s is just awesome.

Again, nice job, dont worry, when you put your mind to it anything is possible, give that 45 a ride its never gonna forget when you plate curl that sucker!!! :crazy :crazy  :crazy

I didn't train specifically for this. I pinched 2 25's and 2 35's with almost no training. But there is a large gap between 2 35's and 2 45's. In the last 2 years, I did pinch 2 35's twice or three times a month. That's it.

The KTA program I'm on surely give me that extra edge but I won't say more about it  :p .

A few weeks before KTA, I got myself a few rocks from 35 to 80 pounds and did kind of block weights workout with them. I was curling and pressing the rocks up to 50 pounds and pinching the heavier ones. I did pinch a 80 pounds and 4" wide rock this week so I tought that giving a ride at the 45's was realistic. And it was.
