Slow down! Yer gettin' carried away with all this phenomenal bending here lately!

By the way, how much of an initial kink did you attain with the reverse grip portion of the bend?

Hi Eric, not sure how much of an initial kink there was but I'm sure there was some. On some of the bends I start with a reverse grip, there isn't even a trace of a kink. :blush I am really trying to adjust to the DO. My best DO only is 1/4X7 Square did 2 this weekend. The pain on my fingers really put the brakes on better bends, it feels like they will be crushed if any more force is applied. :cry

Sometimes focusing on gripping the nail even tighter can do the trick. Try grabbing the nail tightly with your arms outstretched in front of you. Then, while still maintaining a tight grip, rotate your hands off to the side to your normal starting grip position. This will eliminate any slack between your hands, the padding, and the nail. This is particularly important with longer nails.

This advice has helped me a great deal in the past.
