ArchRaid
Hey all, Eventually, I plan on bending some and I have been looking for a beginner progression. I was wondering if anyone had a progression that showed how to get from a 3/16 all the way to the red. Stuff like where do grade 5's, spikes, 60d nails, etc fit into the progression. I know Eric Milfeld calibrated various stocks, but I was just curious to first hand experiences people have had with these various stocks. Thanks for any consideration on the matter
Wayne
i started with 3/16'' square down to 5'' then went to 1/4'' round down to 5'', this consisted of regular bars and 60D nails. after that i went to grade 5's and after mastering these at 5'' lengths was when i bent my first red equivalent. getting consistant was a little tough and going backwards a bit to 1/4'' square helped me with that. i also recomend bending some grade 8's at some point in between 5'' G5's and reds. good luck.
