Putting Tape On Wraps..?..

THOR

Recommended Posts

I have a pair of suede wraps and i have just recently gotten a red nail and a few different bolts... the question is, i have put a few hole in the wraps from the ends of bolts and ruff cuts on metal and i am wondering if i am allowed to put some masking tape over the holes on the inside of the wraps. This is done purly in an act to protect my hands (i've gotten stabbed before and im sure you have too). Is this alowed??

Thank you, Thor (Adam)

As long as you ain't certing in dont matter. If you want your wraps to stay hole free, wrap your nails with a small piece of material (leather or im pads work well) and then wrap with regular wraps. you will get tons more miles on your wraps this way...Brett

Also if it is just training smooth the sharp edges with a grinder, or as Kerb said use a leather insert a 2"X2" can work just fine to prevent holes.
