New Way To Train With Extensor Bands

Haven't posted an ideer on this board in quite some time. It feels great to offer something constructive (at least I think it is from my limited experimentation). My wife got me IM's exband your hand bands for Christmas. I have been training them off and on with high rep sets ie. 30 for each colour. Just recently I tried doing something else and am quite excited about the result:

I hold the band in an open position and then perform various flexions of the wrists. Haven't tried rotational movements yet but I think this would work very well too.

Give these a try!

Sounds like an akward movement - and those are good! Thanks for the idea!

Tommy,

Great to know you've done them be 4!!!!!

I've never tried holds in different wrist positions before, although I did experiment with varied arm positions for gripper closing. My favourite was behind the back like giving yourself a hammer lock/chicken wing whatever it's called. However, it can't compare to your #3 in the 1 arm superman position :rock

They! :yikes - They're fun :D

They'd also be a a great way to help warmup the wrists prior to sledgework/bending.

Thanks Jon@han!
