Nathan Say
This is a page that most of you probably know of, but it only has nail sizes up to 60d. How big are the 80d & 100d ones?
supersqueeze
Interesting. If you look at the "steel wire gauge" under the heading "diameter" you get a usefull table. If you could find a supplier of all the different wire thicknesses given in that table you could cut your own "nails" and progress to harder bends much more gradually. For example, it appears that 2.5 gauge is probably the stock from which 60 penny nails are cut (it is 0.253 inches thick). If the 60 penny nails are a little too hard for you, you could try either 3 or 3.5 gauge (0.244" and 0.234", respectively). Mike M.
terryduty
Nathan, here are a couple more web sites that have some nail charts for you: http://www.stainless-fasteners.com/conversion1.htm http://www.hutchison-inc.com/html/bldg_pro...ccess/nails.php both lists the 80d at 8" and the 100d at 10".
