Nathan Say
In Aston's book How to Develop a Powerful Grip, he describes how to hold out weight plates. (see exercise 19) How I see it, is you pinch grip a plate like you're going to do a curl with it (thumb hooked over the lip) & hold it out with your arm parallel to the ground. I tried it & could barely hold out a 25lb plate. I guess the ultimate would be to muscle out a 45, but that might be even harder than curling one. I didn't feel it so much in my wrist because of all the plate curling I do, but in my shoulder & chest. I guess I better work on it. (btw he also says get a leverage bar & do the same. It would probably have a similar effect on the wrist/forearm & shoulder/chest areas)
