thorfinn
Okay this may sound nuts and might go back and forth for me to explain better but... Two excercises but, both are related... Starting with easiest... 1) Gripper + carbeaner + chain + carbeaner attach carbeaner #1 to gripper spring hole then attach chain to carebeaner then attach weight to chain then attach carbeaner #2 to chain to secure weight. Do curls with gripper closed and have the weight to inner, outer, front lever, back lever positions. Will work wrists, crush and biceps in a constant amount of weight throughout the curl or a multitude of movements. 2) This what I use but, use your imagination... counter weight from old style windows (basically a solid piece of cyndrical steel ~10-15lbs and 24-26" length and a 2" diameter with a hole at one end) in which I attach/put a climbing rope through and then let hang about 24" and attach weight. Same Idea as above with constant weight but, something solid instead of a gripper. Advantage over to above is the exteme levering available when doing curls but, same applies curl with weight inner, outter, in front or in rear. I have not tried reverse curls but, I'm sure it can be done too.......... Have fun and let me know if any of yall try it. I like it as just regular curls just do not seem to build wrist strength needed for arm sports. -Keith

thorfinn
Just think as #2 as a morning star but, I would leave the spikes off. You can do normal curl position with weight stressed on pinky side, thumb side, in front or to the back. Even doing reverse curls this way is awesome. The further away from the chain the more wrist stress the closer more bicep stress. Using a weight from a chain/rope remains the same throughout the entire movement vs. a DB or BB where you gain advantage from the weight becomming less as it nears completion of the curl. Kinda like a RT but, this stresses the wrist much more. One can make a contraption similar to this for plate curls as well. Use you imagination. -Keith
italiancrusher
Hmm. That first idea sounds pretty cool. I may have to try it out.
