Guest mikebyoung
Can someone give me some pointers for doing negatives with the grippers? Thanks in advance, Mike
Guest mikebyoung
Sorry...is this a silly question? Is it just holding the gripper closed as long as you can and letting off slowly?
blueshadow
Mike it is not a silly question at all! Just go back in archives, type negatives in the search block and you will have lots of great info on negatives we have discussed this quite a lot! Tou
You got it pictured perfectly Mike. Only one thing : you don't let the gripper open slowly, you fight it until the last fraction of an inch. These are painful. :crazy
Sybersnott
Mike, May I ask.... what gripper are you trying to close? Usually, you'll work with the next gripper up from what you're trying to close. (i.e., you would use a #2 to work on closing a #1).
Guest mikebyoung
Syber, I am doing neg.s with the #2. I can close it already, but only once or twice. I guess you are saying I need to go out and pick up the #3...thanks for the good excuse to add to my collection! I had thought I should wait until I can close the 2 as easily as I can the #1. Oh...and I did the search for "negatives"...thanks,Blueshadow. Should have tried that first...sorry.
