sammyg
Hey, I'm about to make a thick bar...i'd like to train with it once a week. What kind of routine should this be?? I want it to focus on grip.. Thanx
Guest rockblaster
From my own experience, using the thick bar, especially for pulling movements will work your grip (especially your thumb) and your wrists. I have found that this a very humbling experience as you will have to lower your poundages temporarily in order to adjust to the wider grip. I work out with a solid 7'cold rolled steel 2"diameter stock. It works very well and I am using it twice a week. You can't go wrong using this type of bar. It will give you a stronger overall grip--not to mention what it will do for your overall body strength. Good Luck--Rockblaster

Guest rockblaster
Sybersnott, That--and then some--depending on the exercise.
