Pullups With A Twist . . .

Travis bagent on another website said he does his close grip palms facing pullups with his wrists curled in at the top. Anyone else try these? They seem pretty tough but I can see why the would help for sure.

Here is Travis explaining it:

When I do my pull-ups (hammer style) I postion the pegs in my hand (not grabing with my fingers), this forces my wrist to curl. Doing close grip half-rep pull-ups with your wrist curled is a tremdous hand and wrist workout....

I would guess that you are holding on to your opponents hand with your fingers, that is allowing your hand to open and then your wrist to flop... those pull-ups will also train your hand get comfortable holding pressure in your hand without grabing with fingers...

Hmm, definately need to do only half reps, when I pull up all the way it forces my wrists straight. I like palms away better than palms facing however. May half to work these into the program sometime and really give them a try.

We do your stuff nearly as well as you do, you can't do ours very well at all, and we do everything that we both don't do much better than you can. Not very humble, I know, but true. -Coach Glassman

And by "program" I mean sporadic grip stuff whenever I feel like it.
