Guest Jeff Roark
As many here know I have struggeld with CTS for some time and have had an operation on my left hand. I have found that I have to limit my grip training to an extent, especially the grippers. I have dropped my weight training now to two days per week with 3 days of cardio. I am doing grip on the lifting days and here is what I am doing: Tues- wrist roller 1 set each direction, grippers 1 set of max reps with #2, then 2 max strap holds with the #1, Friday- Two hand pinching, and either plate curls or Rolling Thunder. I have talked with Heath alot and he advised me that in my situation he thought strap holds would give me the best bang for my buck. Nick McKinless told me to work extremely hard on the two hand pinching. I absolutey love this exercise and am interested in what others here have done in this lift. I would love to get bodyweight in the two hand pinch one of these days along with the #3. Is bodyweight to high or too low of a goal for one to shoot for that has certain limitations? I can work grip for a bit and then I start to hurt so I have to quit and its like starting over everytime. This time I am going to be careful and control the volume and max attempts. Tyrannosaurus Dave
I pinch 152# two-handed weighing 190, so I think bodyweight is very fine goal, indeed. However, there is not always a good correlation between bodyweight and grip as many of the old-timers have demonstrated. Pick a number and when you get there, set a higher goal. Good luck! Guest 77-1017939013
What is rolling thunder?
Tou
Check this site Mohammed. Read everything inthe grip tools section. Ironmind Rolling thunder is a thick revolving handle. You lift one hand with it. Weights are placed on a supporting pin.
mobsterone
Pedantry: A Rolling Thunder is as was described. Rolling Thunder, on the other hand, is a version of the loud noise heard during a storm
