I think that it will be done. It almost seems unreal. I wonder if Clay or Greg ever attempted. Dun know, have to ask them?

I have no idea.

Right now a 5/16 grade 5 at 7" is considered a pretty elite bend.

And the gap between g5 and g8 in 5/16 is HUGHE.

Its kinda like what people said about powerlifting 10 years ago.

"1000 lb squat is impossible" and now several guys are doing it.

For all i know, somone has already done it, the top guys Dont talk about there latest pr's, which i dont understand. I can understand not blurting it out every chance you get, but to go out of your way to keep it on the down low, seems odd.

i think it can and will be done, cuz im gonna do it :) 1 of these years lol.

i dunno if its been thought of, but, a 7''x5/16'' grade 9 that would be even more bitchen.

anybody know the best bend thats been done to date?

I would say that if your at a grade 9, then 3/8 CRS is probably damn close and doable.

I would like to see 5/16 Square. No one has certed on it yet.

i seriously doubt a 5/16 g9 would even bend, most likley just snap.

clay has bent a grade 9 all ready :D

no sorry, I didn't mean 3/8 grade 9

The G8 is doable, but nobody to my knowledge has bent one. I've never tried one but don't think that I could do it at this point. I think if you could bend a 6" 5/16" G5 that the 5/16" G8 would be right around the corner, and I don't think anyone has bent a G5 that short. But then again I'm not hiding in Pat or Greg's basement while they train. I'm usually outside Pat's window wearing camo pants with binoculars...

The 3/8" CRS is rediculous. First you'd have to bend a 5/16" G5, 5/16" G8, 3/8" HRS, and then if your rotator cuffs were still attached you could go after it! haha

The G9 I bent was 1/4". Lots of guys have bent those.

yes but i think the added thickness would cause it to snap instead of bend.

People have had 1/4 g9's break on them before.
