Sledge Twisting

Number Ten Ox

Recommended Posts

Walking around work with a 8 pound sledge today I started flipping it over in my hand and came up with this drill.

I would hold my forearm parallel to the ground with my elbow tucked into my side. The hammer was held straight out like I was doing a front lever but instead of moving up and down I spun it clockwise like a screw driver. I had to kind of flick it up to a little over parallel to twist it and when I stopped the spin it would drop a little below parallel. A couple minutes clockwise and a couple counterclockwise and my arms were burning.

Anyone else ever try this?

This is part of my sledge routine. Do front levers and rear levers also for all around wrist developement.

An Excellent Excersize with the good ol' Collins Axe.

Really works the top of the forearm well.

I do it just about every other time I work with Levering.
