New PR

I tied the #3 Coc gripper again today and seems like I am steadily losing ground. I thought I maybe over trained but did pull a new PR in Inch DB DL. Previous best quite a while back was 150lbs with a touch on the lifting hand fingers to break from the ground. Today I did good full pulls wih 165lbs each hand. Question can I be over trained on grippers and still make PRs on other grip stuff? Mike

I think that's definitely possible.  I think that's because the grippers only involve the hands.  Most other grip movements involve other body parts.  In my opinion, the grippers wear down the hands easier than other movements.  Maybe if you drop the gripper work for awhile you can do better on other exercises and then when you finally work the grippers back in, your hands might respond better to them.
