Wondering if anyone knows some good numbers to shoot for in the 1 hand deadlift. I've started doing them off a block with a ring. Anyone else do something similar?

worldrecord:

330kg or 726lbs (or a pound more or less not shure) done by Hermann Görner. 200kg would be very strong in my book using a oly bar and a hook grip.

Is hook grip when you wrap you fingers over your thumb or is it thumbless?

Oh boy, I remember how that got debated on Ironhistory forums. Let's just say it's not the most clear cut, without a doubt someone did it, feat that there is.

I was just doing these today as a matter of fact, using an IM R-ring. I was doing low reps with 280lbs. Doesn't sound like much be the range of motion would be like pulling a barbell at the level of the floor. Very exhausting, killer exercise. That R-ring hurts too! I would be interested in seeing if I could get close to or above 400lbs. on an Olympic bar.

Hook grip is with the fingers wrapped around the thumb. A thumbless grip is a monkey grip.

yeah Ive done 480lbs on the R-Ring with a loading pin. I heard 500lbs and over is respectible. :)

Can you do that lift two hands anyhow with the rings (which would be 960 pounds)? I think that would break Jack Shanks record. :bow
